Student Speak

Brendan Oldman

Brendan has been with UOIT for the better part of the past five years, and holds an Honours degree in Adult Education and Digital Technology. He is currently completing a Bachelor of Education degree. He loves introducing digital devices and educational software to Primary/Junior students. He is very involved in social media and understanding the positive and negative impacts it has on his students’ daily lives. Much of his passion stems from his decade of experience in the entertainment industry, working with movies, video games and music technologies. After working for the UOIT STEAM Camps, which centre on coding, LEGO and robotics, he is very focused in pursing these technologies within education. He has a family of his own and hopes that his daughters’ futures are rich with technology, while balanced and focused to real-world applications. He was recently accepted into the Master of Education program at UOIT, and is super excited!! Congratulations Brendan!
