"I love blood. I took Medical Laboratory Science because it was the only program like it in Canada, and I get the opportunity to study blood. I want to work in a genetics laboratory, specifically testing DNA to manipulate genes to prevent genetic disease. UOIT offers this program in a smaller setting which has given me the opportunity to get to know my peers and professors on a personal basis and this has contributed to making my education here so incredible. I want to be able to make a difference one day, I want to be bold. I got this tattoo to represent that; it's a latin proverb. It means fortune favours the brave, fortune favours the bold, fortune favours the strong. I wanted to get something that I could read every day and live up to"
